Pottery Night Class: Make your own vase on Thursday 30 May

Come along to Sweetgum Cottage & Garden this Thursday evening for a fun pottery workshop with Auckland ceramic artist (and pretty darn clever gardener) Fiona Henderson. This practical hands-on class is suitable for all skill levels (and artistic abilities!) as Fiona will show you how to roll, shape and work with clay to create the perfect vase for your garden flowers. You can use a large AGEE preserving jar as the size guide or work freestyle, then personalise your vase with a range of different tools/textures including stamps and stencils or botanical bits and bobs. 

Fiona will then take your vase back to her studio to dry, fire and glaze and you'll be notified when it's ready for collection. And of course we'll keep you refreshed with drinks and nibbles to keep your creative juices flowing.
