2026 Pansy Show & Open Garden Weekend Tickets

Save the date! Join me on Saturday 17 or Sunday 18 October 2026 to celebrate the 2nd un(official) New Zealand Pansy Show. Following on from the floral fun and horticultural hijinks of our first show at Sweetgum Cottage in Hunua last year, we're doing it all again! 

Pansies are making a massive global comeback as a cut flower, and we're big fans of this little flower (as seen in the May issue of NZ Gardener magazine).

Bring your best blooms along to compete, or just turn up and admire your fellow green thumbs' floral handiwork. Show categories include:
* Biggest Bloom * Longest Stem * Best Bouquet (Small, Medium or Large) * Arts & Crafts * Pansy Baking * Pansy Preserves * Three of a Kind * Photography Competition * Pansy Poetry or Prose * Decorated Cake

Wear your finest florals to win spot prizes! Plants, preserves, pottery and vintage goodies will be available for purchase. Devonshire Teas can also be booked (more details closer to the date) Eftpos available. 

Note: Sweetgum Cottage is at 2495 Hunua Road. It's on a blind corner so please slow down when you see the event signs and drive off the main road and down the driveway to park in the paddock. Please don't park on the road verge.
